This year we are celebrating 20 years at Autism Nova Scotia! Autism Nova Scotia was founded 20 years ago by Joan and Jack Craig. Joan’s vision was to make sure everyone in our community felt like they had a place to belong.
The past 20 years have allowed us to grow into the organization we are today. Nova Scotians have shown incredible unity and resilience within our community.
We have a long way to go but we are extremely excited for the future!
Upcoming this year we have our Annual General Meeting on June 29th, Walk your Way for Autism on September 24th, and Best of Local Gala on October 27th.
“When Jack and I started Autism Nova Scotia in 2002, we never dreamed it would become the organization it is today. We responded to a desperate need for supports and programs for Autistic individuals and their families right across the province. I could not have imagined that in under 20 years, the organization would reach people from Yarmouth to Cape Breton, from Halifax to Amherst with so many unique and vital programs and services for Autistic people throughout their lifespans. I am so proud of the reality that has been born from our vision.”
– Joan Craig, Founder, Autism Nova Scotia
