Brandon Boyd Recipient of 2024 Joan Craig Trailblazer Award
It is our great honour to announce the recipient of the 2024 Joan Craig Trailblazer Award, Brandon Boyd!
This award is presented to a change-maker who works to build inclusion, amplify autistic voices, and collaborates to trailblaze a path forward for everyone.
Brandon uses his voice and his talents to advance autistic representation in the film industry, creating accurate representations in film that challenge stereotypes and misconceptions surrounding autism.
In addition to being an award-winning local filmmaker, Brandon is an active community leader and has been an ambassador to important organizations including Independent Living Nova Scotia, REACHABILITY and more.
We also had the opportunity to present certificates of appreciation to our dedicated and passionate Autism Nova Scotia volunteers. Our community would not be where we are today without key volunteers at every step and in every space along the way.
