Happy. Exciting. Awesome.
Those are the words Holly Nauss, our 2025 Walk Ambassador, uses to describe our flagship fundraiser, Walk YOUR Way. We could not have asked for a better representative for this amazing annual event!
“I’m looking forward to being with people in our community and seeing old and new faces,” Holly said. “It’s going to be a really nice day, and it’s cool walking at Mic Mac Mall!”
Holly is a staff member in our Halifax office and recently celebrated 10 years with Autism Nova Scotia. She played a key role in our social enterprise, The Pearl, and is expanding her horizons as our new Impact Data and Storytelling Associate. Holly is living proof of the power of dedication to our values and to the community we serve!
She first heard about Walk YOUR Way in 2009 and officially got involved in 2012. For the past 13 years, she has been participating out of love and for the fun she’s had with others.
“Autism Nova Scotia is a great organization! I like supporting it and being with people I know who attend Walk YOUR Way.”
Thinking back to past Walks, her most memorable moments include walking with her Team at last year’s event and walking with warm Tim Horton’s coffee at the 2019 event.
Holly says events like Walk are significant because of how important it is to support the autism community. She added that Autism Nova Scotia is “the best organization ever”!
“I’m looking forward to doing fundraising before the big day, like ice cream socials, 50/50 raffles and bake sales,” she said.
Holly can’t wait to be the leader of this year’s Walk, and will be sharing fundraising tips, event updates, and inspiring our community to get involved.
Her advice is to register, get lots of sponsorships, and get the cool T-shirt to boot!
“I am very excited to join Walk YOUR Way as an Ambassador and look forward to having the banner while we’re all walking forward!”
Holly, thank you so much for all your work and dedication to Autism Nova Scotia! Want to Walk alongside Holly at the HRM Walk on June 7th? Join ‘Holly’s Dream Team’ during registration and help reach her fundraising goals!
Don’t forget to register by March 30 so you can get the limited-edition East Coast Lifestyle T-shirt!
Our Walk will take place on June 7 in nine communities across the province. For more information and to register, visit: Walk YOUR Way for Autism Nova Scotia
