EmploymentWorks

EmploymentWorks is a pre-employment skill-building program offered in multiple communities across Nova Scotia. In Halifax and Sydney, EmploymentWorks was previously known as LaunchPad.

Description:
EmploymentWorks is an evidence-based, pre-employment program for autistic youth and adults that offers employment preparedness training and support, as well as job sampling and hands-on or simulated work experiences.
The program is designed for individuals who want to enter or return to the workforce, and who are willing to develop and practice the skills necessary to support employment success.
EmploymentWorks uses a multi-phase approach. Phase 1 focuses on employment preparedness training and work experience in the community, while Phase 2 focuses on gaining a job and achieving employment-related goals. Phase 3 supports participants who find employment.
In-person cohorts are capped at eight (8) participants in Halifax, and four (4) participants in all other communities.
