Recognizing the significance of daily occupations, Marie is committed to helping individuals engage in activities that bring meaning to their lives and resonate with their unique needs, interests, and preferences. This includes, but is not limited to, attending to one’s basic needs, engaging in activities at home and in their community, and exploring and participating in employment or leisure pursuits.
Through a person-centered and neurodiversity-affirming lens, Marie supports autistic adults by leveraging their strengths, values, and experiences. She strives to create a safe, inclusive, and collaborative space where individuals feel understood and empowered to create goals and develop strategies to facilitate a path toward achieving their personal aspirations.
Marie’s particular areas of support centres around working with Autistic adults in areas of:
⁃ Life skills and daily routines
⁃ Executive functioning support
⁃ Sensory awareness and strategies
⁃ Autistic burnout & masking
⁃ Home and workplace accommodations
Fun facts & hobbies:
Outside of work, Marie enjoys playing video games and spending time with her partner. Being new to the province, they are looking forward to exploring Nova Scotia and doing lots of nature and outdoor activities.
